Moving enormous quantities of raw materials or finished goods across great distances is generally referred to as hauling services. The hauling service is a comprehensive service that provides residential, commercial, and contracting clients with the labour to remove, load, and discard unwanted items. 

When a shipping company transports a container, carrier haulage occurs, while merchant haulage occurs when a consignee hires a haulage contractor to move the container.

Logistics is one aspect of supply chains and involves the transport of goods, warehousing, and management of facilities, as well as haulage, a process with a more narrow purview. Specifically, haulage refers to the delivery of goods and passengers along a specific route on the road. At the same time, logistics is broader and may also cover anything from a product’s creation in a factory to when it arrives at a customer’s door.

Transporting goods by road and railway is known as haulage, whereas freight uses the road, railway, ships, and aircraft to deliver goods. Haulage is the same as road freight in many ways, and you could even argue that it belongs under the freight category.
